my roof garden
Had the first salad from my roof top vegetable garden last night - delicious - hoping to have enough to start using it for guests soon.

last night
Had a wonderful crowd for dinner last night. Weather still a little chilly - but copious amounts of wine drunk to stave off the cold! Everyone loved the peanut butter mashed potatoes - I still have room for next thursday -call or email me.

last week
Last week we had two wonderful events at Garden. On tuesday night we had a private birthday and the weather was lovely. The garden looked amazing. On thursday we had our regular Cocina Garden - which was really fun. We made some new friends, Mary and Steve from Washington State who are here in Buenos Aires for the first time.
I still have space for next thursday - the menu again will be corn and red pepper soup, broccoli and tomato salad, chicken cashew chili and maybe pecan pie - if I can find the elusive karo syrup!

Wines
I am really excited, now that we have an opening date we are working on a wonderful wine list. It will have more smaller vineyards - in other words wines not found everywhere. I will include the list in my next posting.

We have a date for our opening night
We are opening for our first evening on Thursday October 14! We will also be open on the 15th. We also have our first menu and are working on the wine selections now. We will be serving
sweet potato vichyssoise - iceberg lettuce with blue cheese dressing, pulled pork with sauteed peppers and potatoes and finally an American classic, pound cake with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.
